As a side project, I have been training my Rasa model, called Wirabot, to speak and understand Manglish (Malaysian English aka Bahasa Rojak).
Manglish might not be the sexiest form of English, but it’s uniquely expressive and packed with local flavor.Â
One day I hope to either deploy it as an SaaS (if I get more ambitious), but more likely I may push it to GitHub as a free resource where others can help to improve upon.
Side project only mah, been training my Wirabot to paham Manglish (you know la, Malaysian English rojak style).
Manglish damn no sexy la, but ngam with local feel, right?
If got semangat one day maybe can make SaaS lo, but most likely I think will just put on GitHub for free la.
For those interested in this topic, there is actually an existing Manglish AI Chatbot called KRISPI and several others, such as the one used by TGV/GSC Cinema(Malaysia) in the past. However, these are proprietary and not easily accessible. I would like to make a viable, robust Manglish chatbot and release it, either super cheaply or freely, for Malaysian businesses to customize and deploy. All in due time, perhaps.
